HYDERABAD: The first meeting of the reconstituted Congress Working Committee on Saturday decided that seat-sharing talks with its INDIA bloc partners should be concluded at the earliest, reports Roushan Ali.At the first-ever CWC meeting in Hyderabad - ahead of assembly elections in Telangana - almost all members suggested the coalition should be taken forward and strengthened.

This assumes significance given that Pradesh Congress Committees of Punjab, Delhi and Bengal are uncomfortable with the central leadership forging an alliance with their main opposition.

CWC: Manipur burning for 150 days, situation far from normal in KashmirThe Congress Working Committee (CWC) on Saturday adopted a resolution on the country facing security threats, both internal and external, and said the government was in denial.

"Manipur has been burning for over 150 days.

The prime minister has time to visit foreign countries but does not have two hours to visit Manipur.

"The reports submitted to us are encouraging.

Generally, they are happy reports.

We will discuss in detail about the strategy to be adopted in the five state elections on Sunday," said Chidambaram.Congress is hoping to build momentum for itself with the presence of its entire top leadership in Hyderabad ahead of the Telangana assembly elections.
