LUCKNOW: An SC/ST court in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday acquitted three accused in the 2020 Hathras gang rape and murder case and held a single person guilty.Of the 4 implicated, Sandeep, Ravi, Luv Kush, and Ramu, only Sandeep has been founded guilty of the crime.Sandeeps conviction was made under Section 304 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the SC/ST Act.On September 14, 2020, 4 males belonging to upper caste presumably raped a 19-year-old lady from the Dalit community in Hathras.
The victim caught her injuries on September 29 while going through treatment at Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi.The victim was cremated in the dead of the night near her house.
The victims family had actually claimed that the local cops compelled them to quickly perform her last ceremonies.However, the regional law enforcement officer stated that the cremation was performed based on the dreams of the household .
