TIRUPATTUR: Three young boys biking to school were run over by a speeding cars and truck that swerved off the highway onto the service roadway near Vaniyambadi in Tirupattur district of Tamil Nadu on Tuesday morning.Police stated Class VIII trainee Vijay and his brother Suriya, a class VI student, were on one bike while Vijays schoolmate Rafique was riding another bike when they were mowed down.

7 students from a private engineering college in Vellore were returning from a trip to Yellagiri when the driver, third-year student Santhosh, lost control of the automobile and hit the schoolboys.Scores of villagers gathered at the area and a few of them assaulted the motorist.

The bodies of the children were sent out to Vaniyambadi government general medical facility for postmortem.

Cops jailed Santhosh and scheduled him for rash driving and causing death by negligence.
