Olesya Krivtsova, a first-year college student from the northern Russian city of Arkhangelsk, is dealing with more than 10 years in a chastening colony for publicly opposing the war in Ukraine on social media.
Krivtsova, 19, stand accused of justifying terrorism and consistently discrediting the Russian militaries for posts she made on her personal page on the Russian social media network VKontakte and Instagram. The materials posted by the teenage trainee included a list of suggestions aimed at Russian soldiers in Ukraine wanting to surrender that were originally published by the Ukrainian authorities, and photos of Ukrainian civilians eliminated by getting into Russian troops. The Russian authorities were made aware of Krivtsovas vocal pacifism from a report that was submitted by fellow university students from Russias Northern (Arctic) Federal University who took part in a group Telegram chat with her.
At the hearing, they pointed out the names of two people that I knew who were in that chat.
In the chat those individuals were talking about how best to send a denunciation: to the police or the security services, Krivtsova stated in an interview with independent Russian news site Current Time.
Krivtsova was apprehended in December following an authorities search of the Arkhangelsk apartment or condo she shows her husband.During the search, among the police officers supposedly tried to frighten Krivtsova with a sledgehammer, a weapon used to kill a deserter from the notorious Wagner Group the previous month.
Krivtsova and her hubby were later informed that the police see was a greeting from Wagner, according to an earlier Current Time interview with Krivtsovas mother. In January, Krivtsova, who had been put under home arrest until Feb.
13, was contributed to a list of groups and people designated terrorists and extremists by the Russian federal government.
I know perfectly well that my flexibility can really be eliminated.
I can really be sent out not just to prison but to a chastening nest, Krivtsova stated in the interview released Monday.
And yes, Im just attempting to accept that fact.
