Sana is the second wife of Moula, owner of an electrical shop.
The couple has four children.
When Moula returned home from the shop, Sana asked him to do some electrical work in the house of a senior citizen staying nearby, as he had approached her a few days ago.
When Moula started scolding the senior citizen, Sana questioned him.
She also told him if he does the work, he would get some money which would be useful in paying their rent.Sana told TOI Moula hadnt paid rent for the last two months, prompting the owner to ask for it.
So, I insisted he do the electric work and get some money.
He wasnt interested.
I had also helped him in getting a loan from private financiers for the marriage of his first wifes daughter.
He wasnt able to clear the loan either, she said, adding, He often fought with me over financial and other issues.
Sanas elder sister, her brothers wife, and one of her daughters were in the house at the time of the incident.
Moula then allegedly pulled Sana out of their first-floor house and tried to push her down from the parapet. When people standing at a bakery opposite their house shouted at him, Moula went into the kitchen and brought out a knife, seemingly to stab Sana.
But by then, people had started rushing towards the house and Moula decided to flee.
Sana, who works for a political party in BK Nagar, Yeshwantpur, was rushed to a nearby private hospital.
She said being unable to pay the hospital bills, she got herself discharged on Friday and is now visiting daily for treatment.
A cop said Moula had escaped, leaving behind his phone in the house.
He hasnt gone to his first wifes house or his shop.
Were making efforts to nab him, he said.
