NAINITAL: Fresh from his stellar performance in the ODI World Cup, where he secured the highest wicket count for the hosts, pace maestro Mohammed Shami exhibited his heroic side on Saturday when he came to the rescue of a person involved in an accident in Nainital.Sharing a video of the rescue on his official social media page, Shami said the individuals car had skidded off a hilly road in Nainital, prompting him and others in his car to swiftly respond to the situation.As Shami was returning from Nainital, he saw another car losing control and tumbling into a ditch right in front of his vehicle.
Without hesitation, Shami jumped into action.
Together with fellow passengers, he managed to pull out the slightly injured driver from the vehicle and safely brought him back to the road.After saving the car driver, Shami posted on social media, He is very lucky, God gave him a second life.
His car fell down the hill road near Nainital right in front of my car.
We got him out very safely.Incidentally, Shami was travelling from Nainital to his home in Amroha after picking up his niece, a Class VII student at the St Marys College, for her winter vacation.
Shamis social media post earned widespread appreciation from the people for his quick thinking and selflessness.
