NEW DELHI: The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has released 2 new courses-- diploma in integrated circuit (IC) production and BTech or BE (electronic devices) in VLSI style and technology.Announcing the launch, electronic devices and information technology minister Ashwini Vaishnaw stated, These 2 programmes will assist us produce throughout the engineering ecosystem an excellent semiconductor talent.
Any AICTE-affiliated college/university/technical institute might opt to offer these courses.In January 2020, PM Modi had actually introduced SemiconIndia program with a vision that India will establish 85,000 semiconductor specialists over the next 10 years.
The PM had stated, Semiconductors are playing a vital role in the world in more methods than we can think of.
It is our collective objective to establish India as one of the crucial partners in global semi-conductor supply chains.
We are investing heavily in skilling and training young Indians for the needs of the 21st century.
