NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday remembered the personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) who lost their lives in Pulwama fear attack on this day 4 years back.
Over 40 soldiers were killed after a suicide bomber rammed his lorry into their convoy in Jammu and Kashmirs Pulwama on February 14, 2019.
Requiring to microblogging site Twitter in the morning, the prime minister wrote, Remembering our valorous heroes who we lost on this day in Pulwama.
We will never forget their supreme sacrifice.
Their nerve encourages us to build a strong and developed India.
The CRPF and other security forces likewise paid tributes to the 40 jawans.
The CRPF officers, led by Special Director General Daljit Singh Chaudhry, Jammu and Kashmir cops and Indian Army laid flower wreaths on the memorial for the martyrs in Pulwama.CRPF jawans died since of outright intel failure: Digvijaya Singh on Pulwama terror attackChaudhry said the sacrifice of the Pulwama martyrs inspire the force to work for a terror-free nation.

Their sacrifice inspires us to make the country terror-free, he stated, as reported by news firm PTI.Lt Gen A S Aujla, General Officer Commanding of armys 15 Corps; Kashmir ADGP Vijay Kumar; IG (operations) M S Bhatia of CRPF, DIG Rayees Bhat of South Kashmir Range and deputy commissioner of Pulwama were among the officers who laid wreaths at the memorial.The suicide attack was performed by Pakistani horror group, Jaish-e-Mohammed, which is led by Masood Azhar, based in Bahawalpur.In a vindictive attack, the Indian Air Force targeted fear camps in Pakistans Balakot within a fortnight.(with inputs from companies)
