A former commando, suspected to be connected to a recent shooting in Thalangama, has reportedly been shot dead, Police Special Task Force (STF) reported.He was reportedly shot dead in a confrontation with STF personnel in Hanwella, according to police.Accordingly, the deceased is believed to have been a wanted suspect in connection with a shooting that took place in Thalangama on 25 August.Two unidentified men on a motorcycle had opened fire at a 44-year-old man on Robert Gunawardena Mawatha in Thalangama on 25 August before fleeing the area.
