MOSCOW, July 23. Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu discussed over the phone issues of a free trade agreement between their countries, the press service of the Ukrainian head of state said on Thursday.
"The sides discussed the issue of signing a free trade agreement between Ukraine and Israel and agreed to speed up this process," the press service said. "They also spoke in favour of the soonest holding of a meeting of the Ukrainian-Israeli intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation."
Poroshenko thanked the Israeli prime minister for the assistance offered by Israeli medics to policemen wounded in explosions near police stations in Lviv. Poroshenko and Netanyahu also touched upon the issue of free crossing of the Israeli border for Ukrainian tourists.
