TEHRAN-- The 5th meeting of the board of trustees and the 7th meeting of the executive committee of the science structure (ECOSF) of the Economic Cooperation Organization was held in the city of Isfahan on Tuesday.During the 2-day occasion, the board of trustees will talk about and exchange opinions in order to make policies and prepare the scientific activities of the structure at the local level for the next 3 years.The Basic Charter of ECO was formed under the Treaty of Izmir as an outcome of the meeting of the member countries held in Izmir, Turkey on 12th March 1977.

The Charter of the Foundation was signed by all the 10 Member States at the 3rd ECO Summit in 1995 in Islamabad, however, up until now only Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan have ratified it.
