KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 22As lots of as 881 legislators will vote in polls slated for March 9 and 17 to elect the new president and vice-president, respectively. The Election Commission launched the list of voters for the presidential election today.

Although there are 334 lawmakers in the Federal Parliament, Chitwan-2 seat fell vacant after Rabi Lamichhanes election was revoked by the Supreme Court, suspended legislator Tek Bahadur Gurung was not consisted of in the electoral roll, and the name of Arun Kumar Chaudhary of Nagrik Unmukti Party was not included in the electoral roll as he was detained after absconding in a case of arson in which he was convicted.Shaligram Paudel, EC spokesperson, stated the voter-list for the presidential election was launched today.

Complaints against citizens can be filed till tomorrow.

The EC is arranged to publish the final voter list on February 24.

Prospects can file their nomination papers on February 25.

The list of entrants will be published on February 25, complaints against them can be submitted on February 26, the EC will look into grievances on February 26 and 27, candidates can withdraw their names on February 28, and the last list of candidates will be published on February 28.

The list of participants will be published on February 25, grievances versus them can be filed on February 26, the EC will look into grievances on February 26 and 27, prospects can withdraw their names on February 28, and the last list of candidates will be released on February 28.
