Harish Magon is known for his roles in movies like ‘Gol Maal’, ‘Chupke Chupke’, ‘Namak Halaal’ and ‘Chupke Chupke’ has passed at the age of 76.
The cause of his death is not yet known but it would have to do with age-related illness.
The news was announced by Cine And TV Artistes' Association (CINTAA) on Twitter.
A tweeted read, “CINTAA expresses its condolences on the demise of Harish Magon (Member since JUNE.
1988).”While he did small roles in many movies, one largely remembers seeing him in the 1979 Hrishikesh Mukerji film 'Gol Maal' which starred Amol Palekar, Utpal Dutt and Bindiya Goswami.
Reportedly, Harish ran a film training institute under the name and style of Harish Magon Acting Institute in Juhu, Mumbai.
On reading the news of his passing away, a Twitter user shared a video from ‘Aandhi’ and remembered the actor.
The person wrote, “Harish Magon - #InMemories Will always be remembered for those cute cameos in Hindi Cinema.
A graduate3 from FTII, he was a close friend of Gulzar's assistant Meraj and hence get to face the camera here in #Aandhi song for a break." The user further added, "Another cute little appearance of Harish Magon was in Gulzar's Khushboo in the Sharmila intro scene.
with Jeetendra - Harish getting a memorable dialogue "Yaar ye bhoot itne khoobsurat hote hain, mujhe nahin maloom tha".
But as mentioned, he shined the most in 'Gol Maal'.
The twitter user expressed further, "Yet one of the most memorable outing for Harish Magon was Hrishi da's Golmaal for small Interview scene, as Sunila Gavaskar's classmate - Black pearl's fan.
Thats how a small appearance on Silver Screen can make you live beyond your life time.
" Harish is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.
