Yadav, 32, was one of the half-a-dozen medical doctors who were recently arrested on the basis of a request of Nepal Medical Council that had sought help from police to investigate the credentials of suspicious doctors. While other doctors were arrested on charge of creating fake high school academic certificates, Yadav was arrested after his father's name didn't match with the name mentioned in the academic certificate.
However, it turned out that the allegation against him was false.
Dr Yadav was released after the NMC provided his detailed credentials to the police along with the clarification letter.
It later clarified that the mistake was made by them as his name was similar to that of another suspect."Yadav was released after we got a letter from the NMC saying that there was a mistake from their side regarding Dr Yadav's credentials provided to us," said SP Nabaraj Adhikari Spokesperson of CIB.A version of this article appears in the print on August 15, 2023, of The Himalayan Times.
